The Wild Biome Project
The Wild Biome Project is a global initiative and deep personal challenge that invites participants to eat only wild food for a set period of time—between one and three months. That means no shop-bought items, no cultivated crops, no condiments or oils—just wild food that is hunted, fished, foraged, or preserved from the land and sea.
I’m currently taking part in the Wild Biome Project 2, running from April through June 2025. This is my second time taking part—I first joined this incredible journey back in 2023 with 28 other wild food lovers. This time, over 110 participants from around the world have joined in. I’ve pledged to go fully wild for the full three months.
That means every single thing I eat comes from the wild: wild greens, berries, seaweeds, mushrooms, nuts, seeds, ferments, preserved meats, broths, and herbal drinks. It’s a powerful and often humbling experience that brings me closer to the land, the seasons, and myself.
I share daily reflections, recipes, and updates over on my Instagram, but I’ll also post some of my meals, wild food ideas, and thoughts here on my website as the project unfolds. If you’re curious, want to follow along, or are thinking about trying something similar yourself, you’re very welcome to explore this space.
Thank you for following this journey with me.
